September has arrived, and with it comes that unmistakable shift — the slowing of nature’s rhythm, the soft golden glow of the sun, the gentle crispness in the air. šŸ‚ It feels as though the earth is inviting us to exhale, to pause after the fullness of summer, and to step gracefully into a more grounded, reflective season.

This month carries a special kind of magic. It is the month of balance, gratitude, and preparation — a sacred pause between the light of summer and the darker months ahead. September asks us to slow down, look at the harvest of our lives, and decide what we want to carry forward… and what we’re ready to lovingly release.


The Meaning of September


In many spiritual traditions, September is a month of transition and completion. In numerology, it is linked to the number nine — a number that represents wisdom, reflection, and the end of a cycle. It whispers to us that it’s okay to let go, that endings are simply a doorway to new beginnings.


At the centre of September’s energy is the Autumn Equinox (Mabon), Monday 22nd September, when day and night are perfectly equal. Nature shows us that balance is possible — and necessary. It encourages us to look at our own lives:Ā

Spiritually, it is an invitation to reflect on your own personal harvest — the goals achieved, lessons learned, and blessings received so far this year.

Ingredients:

  • 2 apples (chopped)

  • 2 pears (chopped)

  • A handful of raisins or sultanas

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • ½ tsp nutmeg

  • ½ tsp ground ginger

  • A splash of water or apple juice

  • Optional: drizzle of honey or maple syrup


Method:

  1. Place all ingredients in a pan with a splash of water or juice.

  2. Gently simmer for 10–15 minutes until the fruits soften and the spices fill your home with their autumn fragrance.
