June has arrived with a glow, and here at Angelic Holistics, I can already feel the shift—like the world is gently saying, “Come outside, breathe deeply, and remember who you are.”
This is a beautiful month for realigning, re-energising, and revelling in the light—both literally and spiritually. So, let’s talk about what’s happening energetically, what it means for your soul, and why this month is the perfect time to stretch into your potential (with a little help from the Summer Solstice… and some yoga!).
☀️ The Summer Solstice: A Mid-Year Mirror
The Summer Solstice—this year on Friday 20th June—is the longest day and shortest night of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. It marks the peak of light, the height of sun energy, and spiritually? It’s like the Universe is giving us an extra boost to shine.
Ancient cultures celebrated this time as sacred. They lit bonfires, danced under the sun, made offerings, and gave thanks for abundance. The Solstice is a natural pause, a turning point. Think of it as your soul’s halfway check-in through the year:

🌞 Summer Solstice Soul Ritual (No Cauldron Required)
You don’t need to climb a sacred mountain to tune into this energy (though, go you if you do!). Here’s a gentle ritual you can do wherever you are—even in your west-facing courtyard with a cup of tea:
Sit in sunlight. Close your eyes and feel the warmth.
Breathe in deeply and on the exhale, say:“I honour my light. I honour this moment. I welcome what’s next.”
Write one thing you’re releasing and one thing you’re calling in.
Smile, sip your tea, and let the magic integrate.

🌿 What’s Your Dosha? A Gentle Introduction to Ayurvedic Energy
In Ayurveda—the ancient holistic system of health from India—there are three core energies (called doshas) that make up our physical and emotional nature: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha.
Think of them like your inner weather patterns. Each one governs different parts of the body, mind, and personality. We all have a unique blend, but usually one is more dominant. When your doshas are in balance, you feel well. When they’re off… well, you feel “off.”
Here’s a light intro to each:
